Lara Chamber of Commerce
On February 11th 2016 the Lara Museum & Historical Centre hosted the Lara Chamber of Commerce for their first event for 2016. This was a twilight networking night where it was great to meet and chat with other Lara business people. There were about 60 attendees, some had not visited the museum before and were very surprised with the beautiful gardens, also the vast range of exhibits inside the museum and out side. Catering for the night was a delicious gourmet BBQ by Scott Millar from Millars, this was a very successful night all around with lots of positive feedback.
Photos of the event can be found on the Lara Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

Vintage Bike Exhibition
The Museum hosted the Geelong Vintage Bike Club on 5th May 2013.
There were approximately 25 bikes from the 1890’s plus a few later models. The Penny Farthings were the most popular with the visitors at the Museum, with some of the unique styled bikes attracting attention.
The Old Museum buildings proved an ideal backdrop for the many photographs taken on the day.
